(Expression) Throughout our lives, we have opportunities for action, and we have to make a choice: We either embrace the situation and perform the action, or we don't. The aforementioned opportunities will not always be actions that yield positive outcomes, nor will it always be self evident that an action will have negative consequences. Only hindsight, after performing the action, will enlighten us as to whether or not our decision to act or not was the right one.

Usage: A very simple clear cut example: All of your friends are getting drunk and then driving to a party in the next town over & your friends keep telling you that there is plenty of beer, so you should join them, drink up and have some fun.

Before you choose to act, take a couple of minutes to think about possible outcomes of those actions,with death being the absolute worst possible outcome.

You decide that living it up for a few hours before you are buried in the ground for eternity makes the decision to not act very easy; just because you can doesn't mean you should.
